Images of Vietnam made by Michael Cotter, a native of Prescott, Wis., while serving as a member of the 3rd Radio Reconnaissance Unit from mid-1962 to May 1963. Most of the scenes are of Saigon and the surrounding urban area, including the unit's barracks at Tan Son Nhat Airport and the streets in downtown Saigon most frequented by Americans. There are also images from a trip to My Tho in the Mekong Delta, of Pleiku in the Central Highlands, of the Imperial City of Hue, and scenes from a motor trip to Da Nang. The images predate the American build-up and escalation of the war.
